Portrait #7 – Peter was born in London, just a few months after his parents, originally from Duhok and Tesqopa, fled Iraq for the United Kingdom. His first trip to his country at the age of 8 left a lasting impression on him, but it was much later that he decided to return to Iraq. First just to see, and now evermore regularly returning, becoming a bigger part of the community. He has since married and works advising local and international entrepreneurs.
The Return launches its series of video portraits! Because each returnee has their own story, their own cultural background and their own ambitions, it’s important to understand each person’s journey and perhaps draw inspiration from them to build the future of our communities.
This series of portraits was made possible thanks to the financial support of l’Oeuvre d’Orient.
